The annual Go Paddling will take place between 26th May and 3rd June 2019. Dereham Canoe Group is open to the public.
Have you ever wanted to try kayaking or canoeing? Now is your chance. Join us at one (or both) of our open sessions on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th May, 18:30 to 20:30. Everyone of all ages and abilities is welcome to attend these sessions.
There will be a small charge of £3 per person per session. Places are limited, so booking is essential.

A leisurely paddle around Rockland and Surlingham broads and the river Yare with a stop at a pub for lunch. We'll have a good explore of the less navigable areas, and search for sunken Wherrys. Full detailed route on request.
Distance: 10 miles (approx.)
Facilities: Toilets available at both pubs New Inn and Ferry House
Suitable for: kayaks and canoes (not play boats)
Possible hazards: river could be busy with boat traffic if good weather, especially near Coldham Hall, although we should miss most of it by going via Bargate
Experience: everyone welcome, but need to be able to paddle own boat competently
Extra Fees: No, unless you borrow club kit
Licence: Covered by our Broads Authority licences - limited availability on request or British Canoeing
Equipment: Bring your own or let me know if you need to borrow club kit
What to bring: Lunch/drinks/snacks/money
Parking: On the left, just before the pub
